The LS-5 series is a synchronizer and load sharing controller with integrated protection. They are designed for complex power management applications, including multiple input power supplies and bus circuit breakers, as well as eas'gen-3400/3500 generator set controllers.

The LS-5 device will manage the synchronization, loading and unloading of each bus segment and send the required voltage and frequency reference to the easYgen-3400/3500 generator set controller via the CAN bus. The LS-5 device located on the input power circuit breaker will automatically detect the power failure and start the corresponding generator set accordingly. Since only one CAN bus connection is required between all LS-5 and eas'Ygen-3400/3500 controllers, cabling work is reduced to a minimum. There is no need to connect any AC measurement signals or discrete inputs/outputs between the LS-5 and the easYgen-3400/3500 controller.

Provide a wide range of remote control capabilities via discrete inputs or interfaces to easily integrate the LS-5 into every application environment.

The rear panel mounted LS-521 has a sturdy aluminum chassis for use in harsh environments or limited Spaces.

Features include:

- Up to 16 LS-5 devices can be operated in one network, up to 32 easYgen-3400/3500 phase matching or slip frequency synchronization with voltage matching

Complete protection package (including df/dt (ROCOF), phase shift and supply voltage increase protection, compliant with VDE's new German grid Specification -0126-1-1) for load sharing segment control

An event log with up to 300 entries

Automatic date and time synchronization between LS-5 devices and connected easYgen-3400/3500 controls is possible without easYgen-3400/3500's LS-5 "standalone" mode

Pre-configured application modes for the most common applications in the field (MCB or MCB/GGB applications) Automatic and manual modes

Complete remote control via CAN or RS-485 interface
