Allen-Bradley's 2711P-RP8D logic module is a module in the PanelView Plus 6 series. It supports PanelNiew terminals without extensions. This is a 24-volt DC input module with 512 megabytes of storage memory for data and application storage. It also has 512MB of volatile memory for processing applications. The computer can program the module using the RS-232 serial communication port. Other devices can also be linked to the 2711P-RP8D logic module through the same port. The module also uses Ethernet protocols to enhance network functionality, and like other PanelViewPlus 6 terminals, the 2711P-RP8D uses standard Ethernet cables for applications and data transfer between the computer and PanelViewPlus 6 (700 to 1500) terminals.
The device is compatible with PanelView Plus 70-1500 display terminals, including 2711P-RDT7C and 2711P-RDT10C. It can also be used with communication modules such as 2711P-RN6 for additional communication ports. All fault codes for the 2711P-RP8D can be found in the manual. Logic modules are often sold together with display modules as assembly terminals.
The PanelView Plus 6 component with catalog number 2711P-RP8D is a logic module for the PanelView Plus 6700-1500 operator terminal. This logic module is used as a replacement for an existing logic module in a running operator terminal.
It comes with up to 512MB of internal random access memory (RAM) and 512MB of flash memory.
The 2711P-RP8D is powered by an external 24VDC supply and consumes 70 watts. It is mounted on the back of the display module and connected to the latter via an embedded PCI slot.
The available communication interface of the 2711P-RP8D is one (1) Ethernet communication port for integrating data from the controller in the Ethernet network; - (1) 9 year tSub-D serial ports for point-to-point connectivity and peripherals via embedded two (2) USB interfaces. It can also be established using a 9-pin D connector via a serial port. USB ports are designed for inserting peripherals such as keyboards, mice, printers, and external storage media.
