Product Details :1756-IRT6I Resistance Temperature Detector (RTD) sensor
Allen-Bradley 1756-IR6l is a temperature measurement simulation module. This is an analog module used with a resistance temperature detector (RTD) sensor.
The 1756-IR6l module provides two data formats, such as integer mode and floating-point mode. When selecting integer mode, integrated features include multiple input ranges, notch filters, and real-time sampling. Floating mode includes all of these features, but also adds temperature linearization, process alarm, rate alarm, and digital filtering. It also comes in optional temperature units, such as degrees Celsius or Fahrenheit. The module has four (4) possible input ranges, including 1 to 487 m? From 2 to 1000 meters? ; Four to 2,000 meters? ; Eight to 4,000 meters? ; . These ranges specify the minimum and maximum signals that the module can detect. It has six (6) independently isolated RTD inputs with a resolution of 16 bits. The actual resolution contains 7.7 m? The bits are 1-487 ohms; 15 m? The/bit is 2-100O ohms, 30 m? The /bit is 4-2000 ohms and 60 m? 28-4020 ohms/bit. The module has notch filter for line noise filtering. Make sure to select a filter that closely matches the expected noise frequency of the application. Digital filters smooth the data by eliminating noise transients on each input channel.
The 1756-IR6l's real-time sampling capability enables the module to multicast data collected by scanning all input channels. To enable multicast, configure the real-time sampling (RTS) period and the Request Packet Interval (RPI) period.
Protection features are also embedded in the module, such as underpath/overpath detection, which is used to monitor whether the input signal exceeds the limits set by the input range. Process alerts work similarly, but process limits are set manually by the user. Integrated rate alerts allow the module to detect rapid increases or decreases in a short period of time. Rate alarms are only available in applications that use floating point. The line break detection function provides loop wiring integrity. It can detect whether RTB or wires in the module are disconnected.
Small offset errors in the 10 ohm copper RTD can be compensated by the 10 ohm offset feature of the module. You can also configure sensor types for each channel in the module. This linearizes the analog signal to a temperature value.
