The IPMC7126E/7616EI/O Module Installation and Use Manual provides the information needed to install, use, and program an IPMC7126E or IPMC7616E module. These are optional I/O modules installed on the MVME5100.MVME5500 and MVME6100 single board computer (sbc) variants. Their design uses the PowerPlus I architecture. The IPMC7126E and IPMC7616E modules are referred to as IPMC712 and IPMC761.
IPMC712 is an improved version of IPMC761, the main difference between the two modules is the Ethernet port and the physical interface of serial ports 3 and 4. These and other differences are discussed in the following sections of this manual.
Add a character before the data or address argument to specify the numeric format, as follows (if not specified, the format is hexadecimal). For a signal with a significant level, an asterisk (#) after the signal name indicates that the signal is true or valid at low voltages.
For edge-valid signals, an asterisk (#) after the signal name indicates that the # action initiated by that signal occurs on a high-to-low transition. In this manual, assertions and negations are used to specify forcing a signal to a specific state.
In particular,assertion and assert refer to active or true signals; negative and negate indicate an inactive or incorrect signal. These terms are used independently of the voltage level (high or low) they represent.
