The IC693CPU360 is a programmable logic controller (PLC) module of the GE Fanuc 90-30 series. The module is essentially a central processing unit (CPU) module whose main function is to execute downloaded user programs into the module's 240 kilobytes of user memory. The processor is equipped with an 8O386EX microprocessor, which has a processor speed of 25 MHZ and a typical scan rate of 0.22 ms /1 thousand logical Boolean contacts.
The CPU module does not have a communication port, however, for programming and communication purposes, the RS485 communication port located on the power module can be used. Open the revolving door of the power module on the leftmost side of the mainboard to access the port.
The IC693CPU360 is capable of controlling up to eight (8) substrates. These substrates include a local rack for mounting the CPU and seven (7) substrates for use as distributed or remote V/O systems/OS. The IC693CPU360 is a single-slot cPU with a backplane current of 670 mah from a +5 VDC power supply.
The CPU has 240K bytes of total memory with up to 2048 discrete inputs, 2048 discrete outputs, 1280 discrete global memories, 4096 internal coils, and 256-bit temporary outputs. The controller supports random access memory (RAM) and flash storage devices.
The controller can be configured using a variety of programming software applications. This includes LogicMaster90, Control, VersaPro, and CIMPLICITY Machine Edition Logic Developer. It also supports programming using a traditional handheld programmer (HHP).
The IC693CPU360 module has a current consumption of 670 mA at 5 volts DC. The CPU clock speed is 25 MHZ. The IC693CPU360 module occupies one hammer in an 8-hammer base plate. The typical scan rate for 1K logic (Boolean contacts) is 0.22 ms. Starting with firmware version 9, Logicmaster's register memory ranges from 128 to 16,384 words in increments of 128 words; In Control version 2.2, the range is 128 to 32,640 words. For firmware versions prior to version 9, the register memory size is fixed at 9999 words. The IC693CPU360 module supports more than 2000 timers and counters. The CPU module comes with an integrated serial port that uses a connector on the PLC power supply.
