The 1408-EM3A-ENT module is a demand, energy, and power monitoring module for the Allen Bradley PowerMonitor 1000 series. As part of the PowerMonitor 1000 series, Allen Bradley offers other types of devices including basic consumption meters and basic consumption and troubleshooting tables. An integrated Ethernet port is provided on the 1408-EM3A-ENT module for network communication. The 1408-EMB3A-ENT module can operate under DC and AC input voltages. The 1408-EM3A-ENT module is designed to be used as a circuit protection device and should not be used as a circuit protection relay or motor overload relay. The 1408-EM3A-ENT module is connected to a three-phase or split phase AC power supply system. It converts voltage and current values into digital values, and then uses these digital values to calculate power, energy, voltage, and current. The protocols supported by the RS-485 interface include Modbus RTU slave, DH-485, DF1 half duplex slave, and DF1 full duplex protocol. The control input of the device can be 120 to 240 volts AC or 125 to 250 volts DC. The operating temperature range of the 1408-EM3A-ENT frequency converter is -10 to 60 degrees Celsius. The dielectric withstand level complies with UL61010 and EN61010 standards. For wires terminated on the voltage and current detection input terminals of the 1408-EM3A-ENT frequency converter, only 22 to 14AWG copper wires are recommended.
