Basic parameters :1408-EM3A-E Energy and power monitoring module
The 1408-EMBA-ENT module is a demand, energy and power monitoring module for the Allen-Bradley PowerMonitor 1000 series. Other types of equipment offered by Allen-Bradley as part of the PowerMonitor 1000 series include the Basic Consumption Star Chart and the Basic Consumption and Troubleshooting Table. An integrated Ethernet port is provided on the 1408-EM3A-ENT module for network communication. The 1408-EM3A-ENT module operates at both DC and AC input voltages. The 1408-EMB3A-ENT module is intended to be used as a circuit protection device and should not be used as a circuit protection relay or motor overload relay. To prevent personal injury and equipment damage, all power supplies must be disconnected before starting any work related to the installation or maintenance of the 1408-EM3A-ENT module. Failure to do so may result in property damage, personal injury or even death. Only trained technicians are allowed to carry out activities related to the installation and servicing of 1408-EM3A-ENT modules.
The 1408-EM3A-ENT module is connected to a three-phase or split-phase AC power system. It converts voltage and current values to digital values, which are then used to calculate power, energy stars, voltage, and current. The protocols supported by the RS-485 interface include Modbus RTU slave, DH-485, DF1 half-duplex slave, and DF1 full-duplex. The control input for the device can be 120 to 240 volts AC or 125 to 250 volts DC. The 1408-EM3A-ENT inverter operates in a temperature range of -10 to 60 degrees Celsius. Dielectric resistance level conforms to UL61010 and EN61010 standards. Only 22 to 14 AWG copper wire is recommended for wires terminating at the voltage and current detection inputs on the 1408-EM3A-ENT frequency converter.
